Delhi, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that there is no plan for a lockdown or a “mini-lockdown” in the national capital.
Delhi has become ‘Hotspot’ and the raising cases in the National Capital led to the speculations that there will be a lockdown in Delhi. According to Sisodia, massive crowding was witnessed at markets in the city due to festivals and it is likely that the cases would come down after the end of festival season. “Delhi government has only asked for an exemption from Home Ministry rules to reduce crowding at markets,”
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced earlier that government is considering shut down of crowded markets as the cases of Covid-19 spurt recently. The CM also thanked Government of India for extra beds for COVID-19 patients in Delhi.
